Working for a large Housing Association in South Wales, I am looking for a Supported Housing Officer to work in a Mental Health Project until March 2009.
Duties will include working with clients to implement a support contract and an individual support plan. Offering welfare benefit advice and assistant clients with housing benefit and other benefit claims. Assist with providing office cover and dealing with immediate service user issues as necessary. Ensure that residents have real and meaningful opportunities to participate in the day-to-day running of the project and consult with them on proposed policy and procedure changes.
Successful candidates will have previous work experience in a supported housing role, ideally with a mental health client group. Able to work on a rota basis and have an Enhanced CRB Disclosure that has been issued in the last 12 months.
