South Wales
My client is a well established designer and manufacturer supplying local and global markets in the medical sector. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team in South Wales on a permanent basis. The successful Project Engineer will receive a competitive salary of between £25,000 and £35,000 and the opportunity to work on multiple projects.
It is essential that the Project Engineer comes from a design background as they will be expected to take a hands-on role in leading the design team. Proficiency in a 3-D package is essential along with experience of DFMEA or FMEA. Applicants will need to have experience of tool design as well as plastics and injection moulding.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:-
-Provide models, drawings and technical capabilities for new and existing products
-Project management of design projects
-Tool design
-Injection moulding design
-Departmental, client and supplier liaison
-Production and maintenance of related documents â?" DFMEA

A hands-on approach to design and management is essential. Previous experience of project management will be essential for this position as the successful engineer will have to lead and manage design teams frequently.
