A superb opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Motor Insurance Underwriting team at our clients offices based in Cardiff.

You will be a key member of our clients team, playing a leading role helping to drive and support the business in a professional capacity by working to ensure compliance with FSA guidelines and responsibilities. Our client also looks to maintain and provide a high quality of service to the existing customer base so excellent customer service is also crucial.

The responsibilities of the role include:

- Analysis, assessment and underwriting of more complex new and existing risks and reviewing renewal terms
- Dealing with all forms of verbal and written enquiries from various sources
- Development of strong business relationships both internally and externally
- Issuing documentation
- Coaching and development of less experienced team members
- Occasional field visits

You will need to have:

- Excellent communication skills
- Positive customer focused attitude
- Sound technical knowledge with good judgement
- The ability to meet challenging deadlines and department quality service standards.

We are looking for a minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above (or equivalent) and to include Maths and English Language.

Salary dependant on experience + benefits +bonus.

This vacancy is a fixed term contract which will end March 2011
