A vacancy has arisen with an advanced technology manufacturer based in South Wales. Working at the forefront of software design and development you will be in an enviable position where new technology advances and patents are frequently registered. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to lay the foundations for a flourishing career in software design and programming or for a more experienced engineer to build on existing skills.
Role & Responsibilities:
oHigh level software program writing in C, C++ and Assembler.
oWork on cutting edge projects and adhering to strict timescales,
oIssuing monthly progress reports and participating in cross functional development meetings.
oProvide technical support to Junior Engineers and Technicians on design issues.
oTo assist and liaise with Production Engineers on technical and redesign issues.
oPresentations and close liaison with customers on technical issues and project forecasting.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
oMust have either recently graduated in a relevant degree (for example in Software or Electronics) or be educated to a minimum of HNC level and experienced in software design.
oGood understanding of embedded C, C++ or C# would be highly advantageous.
oExperience in a similar role within the security, telecoms, consumer electronics also highly advantageous
o Good communication skills and an ability to discuss technical issues with colleagues at all levels.
