• To manufacture components which are compliant to drawing against the production plan.
• Programming, loading and operating.
• Programming in Fanuc and Heidenhain in particular
• Generating CNC programmes.
• Ensuring components are machined to latest issue drawing.
• Ensuring tooling, fixtures, gauges, drawings etc are available, prepared and the machining process is documented and understood in readiness for next job.
• Carry out basic maintenance in line with PPM’s (Planned Preventative Maintenance)
• Continuous improvement and maintaining of, housekeeping.
• Hours are 6am to 1pm, 1pm to 9pm and 9pm to 6am
The ideal candidate will have:
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Using measuring equipment, vernier, callipers, micrometer, hole gauge etc
• Preferably a qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline OND/HND/HNC
• Able to demonstrate a minimum of two years experience working in a manufacturing/engineering discipline, preferably within a ‘bespoke’ mechanical engineering environment.
• Time served CNC Programmer.
• CNC machining techniques/capabilities/workshop practices.
• Experience of machining Exotic Metals (Stainless, Super Duplex, Inconel, etc).
• Measurement techniques.
• Data manipulation.
• Problem solving.
