| Medical Staff Tours Co-ordinator The successful candidate will be responsible for providing management and logistical support for our clients UK Surgeon Educational Tour programme, dealing with both inbound tours coming to the UK and all UK based surgeons travelling on educational visits to centres outside the UK. This involves receiving requests from around the world for visits, and then working with the requesting country and the UK National Learning Centres to ensure an effective event to promote the safe and effective use of our clients products. The role will also involve monitoring of the National Learning Centre usage, analysing sales data and other information to determine return on investment, working with the Marketing Team to bring other National Learning Centres on stream and assisting in the promotion of the National Learning Centres as part of the Centres of Excellence Programme both externally and internally using print and web based media (e.g. through TeamNet and the Orthopaedic Skills Academy website). Although this position will take the lead on the UK Tours, there will be overlap with the Tours Manager for Europe and will involve work on projects and providing support for the European COE Programme as and when required. Experience / Qualifications Required: • Good standard of education (minimum GCSE English & Maths) • Competent user of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Access & PowerPoint (equivalent to ECDL) • Creating / maintaining/ analysing databases • Good interpersonal & communication skills • Goal orientated with drive and ability to create solutions • Ability to work under pressure • Willingness to travel (including outside the UK) and a willingness to work anti-social hours • Clean driving license Experience of working in the Travel industry or Event Management and/or experience of working with Health Care Professionals and within an Operating Theatre environment would be an advantage. |
