| Job Elements: - • Provide a chemical engineering service to the organisation to ensure plant is designed and operated safely. • Ensure that assigned projects are completed within budget and to timetable, and that the process design intent is met. Manage the Health, Safety and Environmental aspect of projects assigned. • Approval of plant modifications. • Selection and specification of process equipment. • Directing process operators and maintenance technician’s actions during faultfinding on plant. • Advising of process changes necessary to improve output, quality or HSE performance. • Procurement of plant, equipment and external contract services. • Setting process engineering standards and specifications. Provide safe operating procedures. • Approve SAP ‘Master Recipes’. The ideal candidate will have: • Educated to degree level in Chemical/Process Engineering. • Comprehensive understanding of chemical and physical processes involved in resin manufacturing. • Previous experience in Process Engineering / Operations, experience in a process design or chemical manufacturing environment. • Good written and verbal communicator. • Working knowledge in statistics to a Six Sigma green belt standard advantageous. • Familiarity with process computer control systems and SAP data entry system. • Knowledge of Process Safety Management Techniques (Management of Change, HAZOP, hazardous area classification, etc.).
