Job Elements: -
• This role will have responsibility for providing maintenance support to areas of the plant ensuring availability and reliability to ensure maximum OEE of the machines.
• Responsible for overseeing planned maintenance work and for developing the maintenance system.
• Monitor the performance/ availability of the equipment and develop action plan work programmes as required.
• Oversee planned maintenance programmes to ensure they are carried out to required standards and assist in the development and implementation of new programmes.
• Identifying equipment needing replacement or developing equipment in area of responsibility and compile reports and estimates to support proposed expenditure.
• Manage approved projects against cost and time targets.
• Ensure the relevant Health & Safety regulations are complied with.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
• The successful candidate will be an ambitious engineering professional, preferably degree calibre, but must be qualified to at least HNC/HND level in a relevant discipline and have previous experience in a maintenance role/environment.
• Good technical problem solving skills are required in order to identify, analyse, and design out engineering problems.
• An appreciation of heavy industry, modern automated process control concepts and computer systems would also be a distinct advantage.
