Job Elements: -
• Manage team of food technologists.
• Manage NPD, majority of projects including tweaks to existing products.
• Specifications including raw materials, recipe and process.
• Customer Liaison with the main retailers.
• Trouble shooting to provide technical expertise for problem solving with Production Team.
• Maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation and ensuring compliance with legislation e.g. legality of artwork.
• Manage cost based reduction projects and maintain knowledge of industry to ensure competitiveness.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience of food manufacturing.
• Experience of people management.
• Degree or equivalent in Food Science or science based discipline.
• Experience of managing relationships with customers/ suppliers.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
